‘Fashion Shows’
Carin Rodebjer told me after her show that she got inspired by men for this collection. We saw shirts, dressed pants and straight coats and jackets but on other hand there were also a floral print, yellow velvet and flounces, which gave collection its softness, a feminine side. The location, contrasts and mix made it to the best show during the fashion week.
Tiger of Sweden’s show was a good way to end the fashion week. There are few shows during the fashion week that give you the same energy as Tiger’s does. The tent, which is packed with people, Håkan Hellström on the front row, the music and the way the models are walking on the catwalk make the show successful and fun to watch. My friend Hanna and I couldn’t stop talking about the coats; they were simply great!
Rodebjer will never disappoint me. And the show this morning wasn’t an exception. Carin Rodebjer always keeps the essence of her brand, but make small updates, which feel fresh and new. This time the men’s wardrobe inspired her, but she still gave it a feminine touch. After the show we sat down to talk more about Rodebjer’s change, progress, development and coming seasons. And what I can say is that there is few designers in Stockholm that impress me like Carin.
The three Swedish superstars Frida Gustavsson, Caroline Winberg, Dorotea Barth Jörgensen opened the Dagmar show yesterday. I loved the knitted sweaters, the warm colors and the dresses made for the red carpet. After the show I met Aino and Caroline, the very talented duo of Icona Pop, and they were both wearing garments in mustard from Dagmar’s spring collection.
It is interesting and impressing how Dagmar seem to suit so many different kind of people; two young cool artists, Noomi Rapace (who was sitting on the front row during the show), the typical business woman but also my own mum.
Cheap Monday organized buses for the press, which took us to Studio Kvarnholmen in Nacka. They always seem to find this cool places somewhere far away from the city center and invite us for a great fashion party.
The styling reminded me of the “Kickers”-culture in 1996, when I was eight years old, and bought a pair of fake buffalos and wore Adidas pants in different colors.
