Savannah Alsén Part One

Savannah Alsén, studerar juridik och driver butiken Savannahs.
Law student and owner of the shop Savannahs.

THE SHOP

We started  boutique Savannahs and ShopSavannahs.com because we were missing a boutique in Stockholm offering the shoes we wanted to wear ourselves. Also, it is so much fun to create something of your own. Our main focus is on shoes but we do carry bags and accessories as well. We start selling Jimmy Choo next month, and together with Manolo Blahnik and Christian Louboutin we can honestly say that we are one of two boutiques in the world carrying these brands under the same roof (apart from department stores). Isn’t it amazing?

Krista Kretzschmar Part One

Krista Kretzschmar, smyckesdesigner
Jewellery designer

MY DESIGN

I always dreamt about working with my hands. I am coming from a creative family. I was living in Florence after high school for studying Italian and I found the jewellery school of my dreams, Le Arti Orafe. I decided to try it and stayed for five years. I was fascinated by jewellery and precious stones.

I find my inspiration when I travel. I just got from a visit to Tokyo with my husband and daughter. We were walking eight hours every day for a week, photographing, watching people and explored new things. I also discover the Japanese artist Kusama Yayoi, who has become famous for her art with dots. Animals, music and food also inspire me.

My jewellery is handmade with love, which is characterizing my design. It is playful with a lot of colors, and often big but refine jewellry. Lately I have been working a lot with animals as motives. I am for an example receiving special order from people who want me to make jewellery that look like people’s dogs and cats.

Roberto Cavalli’s show in Tel Aviv

One of the highlights of the fashion week in Tel Aviv was definitely the Roberto Cavalli S/S 2012 show. I had seen it earlier of course, at Style.com, right after it was shown in Milano. But it was something completely different to see it on the runway in Tel Aviv.

On the press conference on the first day of the fashion week Roberto Cavalli had said: “One dress in the right moment, on the right evening, can give you the energy to change your life”.

Roberto Cavalli’s show was very much appreciated, with all its golden dresses and animal prints, and it felt afterwards that we had been to a spectacular party.

TLVFW – The dancing designer

One of the best moments of the week was when the designer of Tovale started to dance on the catwalk after the show. And we were all clapping our hands!

TLVFW – The fashion editor of Elle Finland

I was sitting next to the fashion editor of Elle Finland, Salli Raeste, yesterday at the Gideon Oberson show. She told me she had bought here whole outfit during a shopping tour in Tel Aviv. I got really impressed, especially by the amazing pointy pumps from Nine West.
