Light Green by Inbal Gvili

Inbal Gvili talked with me about the great experience of working at Alexander McQueen and the competition in the fashion industry.

“I attended the design school, Shenkar here in Tel Aviv. After that I wanted to see the real world. I wanted to work for the fashion houses that were interesting for me. So I moved to London, and after a year I joined Alexander McQueen as an intern. I got a lot of experience there and I really enjoyed it. They were so good with details and layering. But the atmosphere was very competitive over there. The fashion world is hard and tough, and I understand it. I tell you why. In the end of the day everybody has the same dream, there are a few spots and everybody is running for them. I guess it is like this in every industry. But I also believe that if people are good enough they don’t need to do it, because their talent speak for themselves”.

Well, talent and a little bit of luck and exposure I guess. Love the green top! As I'm only wearing clothes I designed myself, I just browsed through your posts for inspiration. Really like the pictures of the two sisters who opened a store, such a classy look!
